The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) in collaboration with Texas Christian University (TCU) is organizing an Inter Professional Education (IPE) Workshop on Friday, Sep. 15 from 12 noon to 3 pm at the TCU Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, 2820 Stadium Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76129. This workshop is open to all SBS students (face-to-face and online students who live in the DFW area). This event will be an in-person workshop. The topic this year is neuroinflammation and perioperative neurocognitive disorders exploring the basic science research and clinical application. The workshop is designed for clinical and basic science researchers to collaborate on discussing a relevant topic and develop a research study based on a hypothetical scenario. The IPE workshop is designed to foster a team-based learning environment where you will work with other students from different professions/background to provide solutions to the issues raised in the theme. No prior research experience is required to participate in this activity. This year we have SBS graduate students, TCU Nurse Anesthesia, Kinesiology, Physics & Astronomy and Biology students participating in this IPE activity. In the past, we have organized similar workshops with TCU and the participants have always enjoyed and provided positive feedback.
FREE Lunch will be provided to all the participants.
There is no cost to attend this workshop and it is completely FREE. More details about the workshop will be shared with interested participants.
If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please take the Qualtrics survey below no later than Monday, September 11.
