HSC COVID-19 update

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, HSC has been actively monitoring the trends and recommendations of various evidence-based sources. This information has been used to shape both our internal and external response. Based on recent evidence and trends, the United States is in the midst of another increase in cases – which has been expected given the historic nature of viral pandemics.

While the landscape continues to evolve, HSC’s commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of all remains.

As a state agency, HSC is under the Governor’s Executive Order that prevents us from mandating a COVID-19 vaccine, requiring proof of the vaccine, and masks.

As a culture based on values, and with an understanding of the evidence-based mitigation strategies that have worked during this pandemic, HSC strongly encourages personal responsibility in the decisions made by our students, staff and faculty.

HSC will continue to ensure there are plenty of resources available on-campus including COVID-19 vaccines and COVID-19 testing to support students, staff, faculty and our community.
