Holiday Safety Message from PD

The holiday season is a time for connecting with family and friends and joining in celebration with one another. Unfortunately, it is also a time when law enforcement experience an increased number of reported crimes – mostly property crimes (theft, burglary of motor vehicle, etc.). The UNT HSC Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of security, protection and professionalism; therefore, you will notice our police officers conducting proactive patrols in and around the UNT HSC campus, and engaging with the community members we serve.
In order to ensure the highest level of safety, security and protection, please take the time to review and adhere to these helpful holiday tips:
 SEE Something…SAY Something. If you witness suspicious activity and/or persons on campus call UNT HSC Dispatch (ext. 2600) immediately!
 Lock your office and secure any personal items of value in and around your work space.
 Lock your vehicle and leave no items of value within view.
 Please call and advise UNT HSC Dispatch if you plan on leaving your vehicle parked on campus for an extended period of time.
 If you plan on parking your vehicle on campus for an extended period of time, please utilize one of the campus parking garages. If you have a surface parking permit you will be allowed to utilize the Modlin parking garage during campus closures – please don’t forget to contact Dispatch!
