Hispanic/White/Black or African American men who are non-military civilians between the ages of 27-45 needed for study

Hispanic/White/Black or African American men between the ages of 27-45 who are non-military civilians without any head injuries in the past 6 years are needed as controls for Alzheimer’s disease study.

Dr. Nejtek’s lab at UNT Health Science Center needs participants for a research study to help us determine if mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) might be a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease.

Participants need to have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to speak, read & write English.

There is only 1 study visit lasting about 1-hr. & 45-min., and participants will be compensated for their time.

Participants will undergo mood assessments & neurocognitive tests, as well as provide a small blood sample (about 4 teaspoons).
