Help Wanted: Student Research Assistant

The Physical Therapy Program is seeking to hire a Student Research Assistant for the Human Performance Lab.

Position Description

– Reports directly to designated faculty supervisory personnel in the Physical Therapy Department at UNTHSC. This person has functional reporting responsibilities to the principal investigators (PIs) and/or Co-Investigators for assigned research projects.
– Assist faculty with a variety of research activities, such as literature reviews, the development of written materials, research reports, poster presentations, and other materials requested by the faculty member.
– Participates in the recording and analysis of research data and in the production of publications and presentations related to the research projects as deemed appropriate.
– Provide support to research faculty and staff involved in functions related to the research mission in the Human Movement Performance Laboratory.
– Support faculty in the development of teaching modules and course preparation.
– Assist faculty with practical skills labs by providing administrative support.
– Assist faculty with service programs.
– Knowledge of medical terminology.
– Strong administrative skills.
– Clean, maintain and prepare supplies and work areas.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
– Commit to the position at least 12 months
– Work in this role for 19 hours per week
– Work-Study eligible preferred
