Healthy volunteers aged 50-75 needed for a research study

The Human Movement Performance Lab at UNTHSC is recruiting healthy volunteers 50-75 years old to participate in a research study titled ?Evaluating the impact of exercise on aging-related motor function changes.?

Subjects will be randomly selected for one of two groups: a non-exercise group or an exercise group. Participation in the non-exercise group involves 3 testing visits, for no more than 3 hours each visit. Subjects will be asked to complete grip testing along with balance and walking tasks. If you are assigned to the exercise group, participation involves the 3 testing visits mentioned above, as well as up to 36 exercise sessions 3 times per week, lasting up to 1-hour each. The exercise sessions will consist of a warm-up, cool down, and approximately 40 minutes on a treadmill. Compensation will be provided.
