Healthy volunteers aged 18 years and older needed for a research study

The Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department is recruiting healthy participants ages 18 years and older to participate in a study titled ?Effects of Osteopathic Manipulation on Gastric Motility.? The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine on stomach motility while measuring its electrical activity with surface skin sensors known as Electrogastrography (EGG). Volunteers will be asked to fast for 2 hours and abstain from caffeine, alcohol and tobacco for 12 hours prior to each study session. Subjects will be asked to lay down on their backs with sensors on their body to measure motion by Electrogastrography (EGG). All tests are non-invasive. Participation involves up to 2 visits lasting up to 2 hours each.
