Healthy subjects, aged 18-35 and 60-80, needed for a research study

This is an advertisement seeking volunteers to participate in a research study entitled:
“Acute limb heating and neurovascular control in aging”

The Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory is recruiting subjects to take part in a study that will assess the effect of lower body heating on blood pressure and vascular function.

You must be:
• 18-35 years old OR 60-80 years old; males & females
• Generally healthy
• Currently a non-nicotine user (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, nicotine patch)

Study Requirements:
• Visit the Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory on 2 separate days:
– Day 1: screening and familiarization session; 1-2 hours
– Day 2: experimental session; ~4-5 hours

• Participation in this study is voluntary, and if you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation (or non-participation) in this study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment

• Subjects will be compensated for their time and effort
