Healthy adult volunteers (ages 18-40) needed for heat exposure and hypoxia study

“The role of acute heating in modulating the pressor response to hypoxic stress”

The University of North Texas Health Science Center and the Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory are recruiting up to 20 subjects (male and female) to take part in a study that will assess the effect of heating and hypoxia on cardiovascular responses.

• Generally healthy
• Currently a non-tobacco/nicotine user (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, nicotine patch/gum)
• Not currently taking any over the counter or prescription medications besides birth control
Study Requirements:
• Visit Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory at UNTHSC on 2 separate days. The first visit will last between 1-2 hours and the second will last up to 5 hours
• Participation in this study is voluntary, and if you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation (or non-participation) in this study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment.
