Graduate Research Assistant Opportunity

Position Description:

She’s Healthy and Empowered (SHE) Tribe is a program that aims to gather women together, and pursue a lifestyle of health through making small changes that empower action for lifelong wellbeing. SHE Tribe is a wellness program, and also a research study funded by the NIH.

The employed student will be responsible for: verifying English and Spanish-speaking participants’ eligibility, conducting enrollment and orientation events off-campus (including informed consent and data collection through surveys), and providing other logistical support to the team as needed. The student MUST be fluent in both English and Spanish and be able to obtain reliable transportation to off-campus locations in Tarrant County.

Position Details and Qualifications:
• Part-time (10 hours weekly) hourly paid position, $18/hr
• Able to work evenings and weekends
• Must be able to speak and read in Spanish and English
• Must have reliable transportation (will do most work off-campus at various locations in Tarrant County)
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in handling confidential information
• Ability to work independently and also work in a team environment
• Demonstration of successful ability to interact with a diverse populations
• Enjoys one on one interactions with people
• Organized and able to manage important documents to and from campus with study participants
• General office duties
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete tasks
• Skills in using office computer information systems to enter, organize, store, and manipulate and retrieve data
• Familiarity with research procedures (informed consent) and data management (survey data collection) is preferred
• Must complete CITI and Good Clinical Practice training for protection of Human Research Subjects
