Funding Opportunity: Harry S. Moss Heart Trust

Deadline
May 1, 2024

Mission
Harry S. Moss was a Dallas, Texas, resident and civic leader for 45 years. He served as President of Moss Petroleum Company and held leadership positions on the boards of numerous business and civic institutions.

After suffering and recovering from a heart attack in the 1960s, he became convinced of the importance of private philanthropic support of medical research.

Mr. Moss died in 1970, and the terms of the Harry S. Moss Heart Trust established under his will state that the income is to be paid to organizations whose “main purpose and object is the prevention and cure of diseases of the heart.” His wife, Florence, died in 1978 adding a substantial portion of her estate to the trust.
