A free information session about savings and retirement planning will be available for faculty and staff on Wednesday, May 11.
A representative of Valic Financial Advisors will be available from 1 to 1:45 p.m. in EAD, Room 406. Valic is one of four vendors available to employees for the voluntary 403(b) Plan and Optional Retirement Program.

Employees do not need to be enrolled in an Optional Retirement Plan or the voluntary 403(b) plan to participate.
Note that employees are automatically enrolled in the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) on their first day of work. Certain librarians and faculty may select an Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) in lieu of TRS within 90 days of hire date.
The voluntary 403(b) Plan is available to all employees to enroll at any time. This Plan provides additional savings toward retirement on top of what an employee would contribute to TRS or ORP.
