Fit Fest- UNT Health’s Angels

The UNT Health?s Angels cycling team was created by Dr. Darrin D?Agostino (Chairman And Assoc. Professor, Internal Medicine) in 2012 to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the search for a cure for MS. In just over 3 years, the team and their supporters have raised over $100,000 towards finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and are a perennial top 10 fundraising team since their inception in the annual Bike MS: Round up ride. Their team and their impact on the health and wellness in the community continue to grow each year. In 2015, the team is composed of over 50 riders, the majority of whom are either physicians, nurses, residents, students or employees of UNT Health Science Center all cycling to relieve stress, stay healthy and have a great time with others participating in a sport that can continue for many years.

While the Health?s Angels enjoy participation in the health and wellness cycling events in support of our community, cycling provides incredible health benefits to our riders. Be sure to stop by their table during Fit Fest on Tuesday, May 5th from 11a-1:30p in MET 109-111 to learn more about the benefits of riding, as well as, to learn more about UNT Health?s Angels.
