The HSC Financial Aid Office is hiring for one/multiple Federal Work Study student(s) to assist with tutoring in reading and math, as well as assist with SAT/College readiness program through the America Reads program. Hours/time commitment will vary as discussed and determined with the Stop Six Community Go Center Coordinator.
HSC tutors will assist students in K-12th grades, as well as assist with SAT and college readiness preparation. The America Reads program helps struggling and gifted students grow into their full academic potential by supplementing the instruction they receive in class and guiding them toward focused study practices. Tutors will work with individual students one-on-one as well as during group activities. This work requires face-to-face interaction and travel to one of multiple locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled HSC student
- Has a 2024-2025 FAFSA on file
- Must confirm to be work study eligible with the Financial Aid Office at finaid@unthsc.edu or via live chat before submitting application
Work Schedule: TBD/varies: Students will work with the Go Center Coordinator in regard to scheduling. *Will be off campus within Fort Worth at one of the following locations:
