Session Overview:
Everybody eats. In a world where we are bombarded with images and expectations about healthy food and body image, it is easy to lose our way as we navigate the independence that comes with growing up. As such, adolescents and young adults may be especially prone to worries about their nutrition, exercise, and weight patterns. This session will explore strategies that promote a health body image and positive relationship with food in a multi-disciplinary treatment team setting.

Session Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to…
-Integrate language and strategies that promote healthy body image and positive relationship with food into clinical practice
-Describe the role of the dietician and mental health providers in a multidisciplinary approach
-Recognize the signs of a possible eating disorder
-Identify other contributing mental/behavioral health concerns
