“Examining oxidative stress and inflammation during simulated blood loss”

This is an advertisement seeking volunteers to participate in a research study:

“Examining oxidative stress and inflammation during simulated blood loss”

We are recruiting subjects for a study to assess whether markers of oxidative stress and inflammation are elevated in your blood during a test that simulates blood loss.

You must be:
18-40 years old; males & females
Healthy
Non-smoker/non-tobacco or nicotine user

Study Requirements:
Visit our laboratory in the Department of Physiology & Anatomy at UNTHSC on 2 separate days; the first visit will be 1-2 hours, the second visit will be 2-3 hours
Participation in this study is voluntary, and if you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation (or non-participation) in this study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment.
Subjects will be compensated for their time and effort.
