Establishing VPN connection routinely to ensure workstation is up to date

In an ongoing effort to keep our workstations current and secure the IT Department pushes Microsoft, third party application and security patch updates to workstations after hours and during the weekend to prevent disruption during business hours. Workstations off campus will need to be routinely connected to VPN at least twice a week in order to receive the updates to their device. Once the device receives the updates it may require a reboot to apply the patch and/or update so please plan accordingly.
