To provide more services to team members as well as promote sustainability, we’re testing a program to provide vehicle charging on campus.
SEE FULL DETAILS: https://www.unthsc.edu/operations/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/Electric-Vehicle-Charging-at-UNTHSC.pdf
This program will be tested for this fiscal year and re-evaluated in August 2017. If you have any questions or comments, please call 817-735-2451 or email Sustainability Coordinator Sandy Bauman, Sandy.bauman@unthsc.edu.
Dual-Port Station & Outlets: A dual-port station was donated to the university and has been installed in Lot 19, across Bunting Avenue from the MET. See campus map: https://www.unthsc.edu/campusmap/
Two parking spots are reserved for cars while charging. In addition, outlets are available in the faculty and east garages, where drivers can plug in as well. Two spots will be reserved for electric vehicles until 10 a.m. (you will not be required to move your car after charging in the garage spots).
EV Parking Permit Required: Because providing electricity for your vehicle is an added service, EV drivers will be required to display an EV parking hang tag when charging at the station or an outlet on campus. To purchase this permit, fill out the form here. Prices for the 2016-2017 fiscal year are as follows:
• SEMESTER PASS – Valid now to May 31, 2017 – $25
• SUMMER PASS – Valid June 1 to August 31, 2017 – $20
• ANNUAL PASS – Valid now to August 31, 2017 (save $5 by purchasing annual pass) – $40
