EIS upgrade coming in September — self-service portals will be down Sept. 20-22

This email was sent to all team members on Aug. 20, 2019:

The UNT System IT Shared Services in coordination with functional stakeholders at UNT, UNTHSC, UNT Dallas, and UNTD College of Law will upgrade the EIS Student System (LSPD).

When: The upgrade will take place from 5 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 through Sunday, September 22, 2019. The system will be available for use by 8 a.m. Monday, September 23.

Why: The upgrade will improve overall functionality as well as performance on mobile devices

Please be aware of the following information:

• The upgrade will change and improve the user experience of the EIS Student System – what has customarily been known as the student portals. The login url/location for students will remain the same (my.unt.edu, my.hsc.unt.edu, my.untdallas.edu, and mylaw.untdallas.edu).

• During the upgrade, students, faculty, and staff will not have access to their EIS Self Service portals (including student account management, registration, timekeeping, and human resources functions).

  • During the upgrade, the EIS Student System will be unavailable. The EIS login page will contain a message about the outage and provide links to Canvas, student email accounts, employee Outlook Webmail, and other sites. Please feel free to forward this communication to any additional individuals who may be impacted by the outage during the upgrade.
