Do You Have a Career Champion?

The UNTHSC Career Center is excited to announce a new program that celebrates faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond in helping you achieve your career goals.
Please take a minute to nominate someone who may have:
*Provided advice and tips about their professional careers
*Helped students explore career options by inviting guest speakers to campus to provide experiential opportunities
*Used resources provided by the UNTHSC Career Center (i.e. employment data, NACE statistics) to integrate into assignments or discussions. Specifically-included information on the Career Readiness Skills as adopted in 2019 by UNTHSC of 1)Communication, 2) Inter-professional Teamwork, 3) Problem Solving, 4)Leadership, 5)Resiliency, 6)Intercultural Fluency
*Supported students as they built their network of professional contacts via LinkedIn or HSC Connect
*Provided letters of reference or reviewed CV’s and/or resumes and provided feedback
*Provided mock interviews to help student improve their interviewing skills
*Presented at Career Center workshops (i.e. CV Preparation, Interviewing, Networking, Dress for Success, Marketable Skills)
*Encouraged students to take advantage of the UNTHSC Career Center programs and services, (e.g. Big Interview-the online interview resource that allows students to learn about interviewing and practice, or the JCP Suit-Up event that allows students to purchase professional clothing at reduced prices)
Nominations will be accepted through March 31, 2020, 5 p.m. All faculty/staff who have been nominated along with the individuals who have nominated them will be invited to a special appreciation breakfast on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Winners will be announced at the event and awarded engraved plaques.
