Division of Research & Innovation Offers Research Kickstart Program

The Division of Research and Innovation is offering a Research Kickstart Program to aid investigators in restarting research programs put on hiatus due to COVID-related closures. Awards are available to partially cover unexpected costs directly resulting from COVID-related closures and restrictions on research activities. The program will be offered in conjunction with each phase of the HSC Research Recovery Plan.

The Research Kickstart Program is an intramural program open to tenured and tenure-track faculty at the HSC. Eligible projects include those from all fields of research at the HSC that were active or in no-cost extension as of March 2, 2020.

To request support during phase I of the HSC Research Recovery Plan, applications can be submitted beginning June 10 at the HSC InfoReady website and will be accepted on a rolling basis through July 31, subject to the availability of funds. Applications will be reviewed on roughly a weekly basis and investigators can expect feedback within 10-14 days of submitting a complete application.
