What is Code of Culture?

Our Code of Culture has been designed to enable all of us to make informed and ethical decisions and continue to raise the bar. It is a high-level resource that provides essential guidance to our shared commitment to UNTHSC. It is also a dedicated proclamation to hold ourselves and our team members accountable to expected behaviors, our values and institutional policies. The digital Code of Culture will be made available to all Faculty, Staff and Students at UNTHSC in English and Spanish.

What does “Our Values in Action” mean?

Our Values in Action is applying good judgment and integrity to the decisions we make every day; whether we are on campus or out in our community. Our Values in Action serve as a fundamental driver of incorporating our behaviors and interactions with what guides us in creating a meaningful contribution to the ongoing success of UNTHSC.

What is the “Certificate of Commitment”?

The certificate of commitment is an individual declaration that says, “this is what we stand for, this is what I stand for.” It’s a commitment to being the best team member at UNTHSC as we continue to transform lives.
Your declaration says to your fellow team members, I agree to hold myself accountable and I care enough about you, my fellow team member, to hold you accountable too. By committing to reading the Code of Culture, you will have guidance to navigate your decisions in doing
things right.
