Designing Your Online Course, April 21 Lunch & Learn

Guest facilitator Heidi Ash from UNT CLEAR (Center for Learning Enhancement and Redesign) , in partnership with Bryan Hauf, Instructional Technologist from the Center for Innovative Learning, presents a process-based approach to improving online course design for seamless development of an online course that aligns with quality standards and principles of good practice for online learning. Participants are exposed to a course improvement plan based on the Quality Matters QM Rubric.

Goal ? To gain a better understanding of the underlying principles and basic techniques of course design and redesign, with emphasis on how they relate to online courses.

Objectives

Differentiate between different course design methodologies
Recognize standards of the Quality Matters rubric
Identify the steps of the DEC Course Approval Process
Identify specific areas of focus for high-quality course design
