Public Health Week: April 3-7

Public Health Week is a time when all public health practitioners and community members across the nation recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation’s health. This year, the week runs from April 3rd – April 7th. The themes for each day include:

  • Community Health
  • Violence Prevention
  • Reproductive and Sexual Health
  • Mental Health
  • Rural Health

The school of public health has created a week full of events to increase awareness and visibility of these topics and the work of public health in general. We are starting off the week with a big Community Health Block Party on the MET lawn from 3-7 pm on April 3rd. The event will include games and activities for the community, students, faculty and staff to enjoy. To sign up for events, go to: bit.ly/3ZqTV1i
