Community Health Block Party TODAY, MET Lawn, 3-7 p.m.

On Saturday, April 1st we kicked off this year’s Public Health Week. During this nationwide annual event, public health practitioners and community members recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues important to improving our nation’s health.

In honor of this week, our School of Public Health has planned a series of events focused on educating and engaging our community on public health issues. Each event has a theme and is open to all HSC students, staff and faculty. (You can register for events on Engage.)

We’re kicking things off with our Community Health Block Party on the MET lawn TODAY from 3-7p.m. This fun event will include games, inflatables, services and resources provided by community partners, food trucks and more! We encourage you to bring your family and friends along for a fantastic afternoon at HSC!

Public health is an essential aspect of our lives, and it is critical to raise awareness about it. We hope that you will join us in celebrating Public Health Week and spreading the message of the importance of public health.

We look forward to seeing you at our SPH events this week!
