“Coming Out” Monologues – February 18, 2020

As part of Diversity Week, Pride at UNTHSC and Pharmacy SGA will be hosting The Coming Out Monologues on Tuesday, February 18 at 12pm in IREB 230. This will be a powerful opportunity to hear from a diverse collection of personal narratives and storytelling from the perspective of people in our community who identify as LGBTQ+ as well as allies. We are reaching out to see if anybody is interested in sharing their (or somebody else’s) experience. Here are some things to keep in mind:
– You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to give a monologue.
– Your monologue does not have to be related to “coming out.” You are free to talk about whatever you want.
– While this event is titled “monologues,” we understand this can mean different things: spoken word, poetry, comedy, visual art, or a performance of any kind.
Please follow this link (https://unthsc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2uuW5bkBUPqQVIV) to an anonymous submission for those who wish to remain private or those who are unable to attend. This is open to all students, faculty, staff, and alumni. If you would like to deliver your own monologue or have any questions about this event, please contact brandon.hoff@my.unthsc.edu.
