July 26, 2015 is the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA is a civil rights act guaranteeing equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in employment, public accommodations, transportation, State and local government services, and telecommunications. It is important to understand that disability is part of diversity. Learning about the ADA and people with disabilities can help you understand how disability is part of diversity, which can make you a more well-rounded healthcare provider. Come get some information, ask questions about the ADA and people with disabilities or give suggestions on what you would like more information about in order to make you an extraordinary health care provider.
