Clinics restart in-office visits; telehealth visits also available

The HSC Student Health and Priority Care clinics are now offering in-office visits in addition to telehealth virtual visits.

If you schedule an in-person visit, please keep in mind that there are new preventative measures for your appointment that have been put in place, as the health and safety of our patients and staff remain our top priority.

Here’s what you should expect when you schedule an in-person appointment:

Screening upon entry of the building:

All patients and visitors will be screened at check-in. Screening involves having your temperature taken and answering a few simple questions.

Masking:

Everyone — including patients, visitors, and clinic staff — will be required to wear a mask or acceptable face covering while in the practice. Universal masking is one of the best ways to limit transmission of coronavirus. Patients and guests should bring their own mask or face covering. Limited exceptions include children under the age of two, anyone who has trouble breathing, and anyone who is unconscious, incapacitated or unable to remove the mask without assistance.

Visitors, guests and caregivers:

We are permitting only one person to accompany patients to their appointment if assistance is needed. Additionally, this person must be at least 16 years of age and will be screened at check-in.

Social distancing:

Appointments will be scheduled to minimize the number of patients in a waiting room at a time. Also, waiting room seating will be updated to keep seating groups 6 feet apart.

Prior to your appointment:
• Remember to complete your Pre-Visit Check-in, sent to you by email or text message for contact-free registration.
• Please notify your doctor’s office before your appointment if:
— You have been exposed to someone who has tested positive with COVID-19 in the last 14 days
— You are experiencing any of the symptoms listed below or a combination of symptoms:

      • Cough
      • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
      • Fever
      • Chills or repeated shaking with chills
      • Muscle pain
      • Headache
      • Sore throat
