CIL welcomes Lisa Hammonds

Join the Center for Innovative Learning as we welcome Lisa Hammonds, MSEd, to UNTHSC as Instructional Designer.

Ms. Hammonds holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Professional Studies in Adult Education. Ms. Hammonds is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Her research interests include the application of learner-centered teaching strategies in higher education, particularly in STEM disciplines and online education.

Her career in education, training, and technology over the past 30 years is a unique mixture of broad practical experience and academic expertise. She began her teaching career in computer science at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas. Since relocating to Dallas/Fort Worth, Ms. Hammonds has taught online and on campus in the Tarrant County College system and also the Dallas County Community College District. She has presented at numerous conferences, including Online Learning Consortium and Educause on topics including learner-centered teaching and assessing blended learning, and instructional design.
