To HSC Faculty & Staff
Dear Team,
It’s hard to believe we are in the month of October with holiday seasons and the end of 2020 close at hand. Since March 2020, we have all responded in extraordinary ways to provide our students an outstanding HSC educational experience. From adjusting to new ways of working and teaching, to designing practices and protocols to keep our campus running smoothly and safely, everyone has stepped up to the challenge. I am proud of the work you continue to do in creating solutions.
It is time for us to begin plans for the Spring and a more traditional “in-person” learning environment for our students. This will require us to think about how every part of our organization will operate in this model to safely support our students and teams. This doesn’t mean that on January 4th, we go back to a “business as usual” mindset. The pandemic could continue for many more months, so we will transition to more on-campus presence for all staff and faculty with carefully monitored protocols in place to protect everyone’s health and safety.
I wanted to share the plans and expectations for our transition back to campus with ample notice. We know the schedules vary among the individual departments/colleges so information will be provided by respective department leadership. You are encouraged to connect with your direct supervisor to discuss any questions you have about your specific department/division.
