BrightFocus Foundation: National Glaucoma Research Program Grant

BrightFocus is committed to supporting scientists from diverse backgrounds to foster creativity and innovation in addressing complex scientific challenges. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who are from groups underrepresented in the field of glaucoma research.

Standard Awards
The standard award provides significant funding for researchers who have already generated some amount of preliminary data, but are often required to demonstrate additional, significant progress before they can apply to governmental or industrial funding agencies.

    • Award Amount: $200,000
    • Duration: 2 years
    • Full Proposal Deadline: December 05, 2023

Interested faculty members should thoroughly review the BrightFocus website for information about the Foundation’s grantmaking priorities and practices.  If you have a question about whether or not a proposed project is a good fit, you may contact Meredith Fogleman or Zoe Metcalf. Once you are ready to apply for a grant, Zoe Metcalf will assist you with the submission process.
