Mentor Qualifications:
- Must be entering the second year of your program for the Fall 2025 semester
- Must be in good standing with the university
- Must be available to participate in following program events and activities (2-3 hours a month)
- First-Year Experience Events (at least 1 each month)
- Mentor: Mentee Meetings
- Mentor: Staff Meetings
As a mentor, you will:
- Guide new students as they navigate their first year of graduate school
- Share your experiences and insights to help them overcome challenges and embrace opportunities
- Build meaningful relationships while enhancing your leadership and communication skills

- Build Leadership Skills: Mentoring helps you develop communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities that will stand out on your resume and in other roles you may pursue.

- Free Food! Events and activities typically occur at lunch time to accommodate academic program schedules. There will be refreshments and/or lunch at each program event.

- In-the-Know: You’ll be the first to know about student leader opportunities that become available around campus.
