AAMC Webinar Highlights Efforts to Diversify Biomedical Research Workforce
On Sept. 13, the AAMC’s Research on Care Community Health Equity (ROCChe) subgroup will host a webinar to highlight efforts by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to increase diversity among the biomedical research workforce. Jamboor Vishwanatha, PhD, University of North Texas Health Science Center, and Keith Norris, MD, PhD, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, will discuss the work of the BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) initiative and the National Research Mentoring Network. The webinar is designed for medical students, faculty, and researchers to learn about becoming involved in these efforts as mentors or mentees.
