Full-time program: All students enter in the fall each academic year to progress through their program in a cohort, completing degree requirements in five semesters (including summer).

The Master of Public Health (MPH) program with a concentration in Epidemiology (48 semester credit hours) is designed to prepare students to be effective public health practitioners by ensuring a broad array of competencies utilized in the contemporary practice of epidemiology.  By the end of the program, students will establish a strong foundation in the foundational competencies of public health and epidemiology with specific emphasis on research methods and design, statistical analysis, epidemiological investigation, data-driven program and policy development, as well as the practical application of epidemiologic methods in resolving real-world public health issues.  Graduates of the program will find career opportunities as epidemiologists in city, state, national, and international health departments and agencies as well as hospitals and medical centers working on such areas as infection control, outbreak investigation, and disease surveillance and disaster preparedness.
