Scholarship Opportunity – MS Programs

Candidates applying for the MS-DDD or MS-AOR programs may apply for $1,000 annual competitive scholarships. Non-Texas residents* who qualify may be eligible for tuition savings with in-state tuition.

2030 Vision Scholarship – Drug Discovery & Development 

Essay: Describe your vision of drug discovery and development in the year 2030.  How will an MS in Drug Discovery and Development prepare you to enter this field? (250-500 words)

Amount: $1,000 per year

2030 Vision Scholarship – Applied Outcomes Research 

Essay: Describe your vision of Applied Outcomes Research in the year 2030.  How will an MS in Applied Outcomes Research prepare you to enter this field? (250-500 words)

Amount: $1,000 per year

*Compare resident vs. non-resident tuition for MS-AOR.

HOW TO APPLY:

Step 1: Complete Application for MS-DDD or MS-AOR

Step 2: Upon admittance into the program, submit essay for 2030 Vision Scholarship consideration (access to the application link unthsc.academicworks.com is granted upon admittance to the program)

Step 3: If selected as a 2030 Vision Scholarship recipient, you will receive $1K per year and may be eligible for in-state tuition.*

We encourage you to apply now for admission into the program. Once you are admitted to the program, you may submit your scholarship essay and application for consideration.

MS application deadline is July 15, but the scholarship is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

  • Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis, are competitive, and may not be combined with the other awards.
  • Students are considered upon admissions into the program.
  • Students will be considered for scholarships based on their undergraduate GPA and their submitted essay.
  • Scholarship eligibility does not guarantee receipt of scholarship.
  • Scholarships will be awarded each month until all funds are awarded.
  • Under current state law, non-Texas residents may be eligible to pay the Texas resident tuition rate for the academic terms that the scholarship is awarded, as long as there are no amendments to the state law and UNTHSC has not exceeded their state allotment of competitive waivers per term.
