Role at HSC: Assistant professor with focus on geriatric and neurologic clinical conditions; will teach and support the humanities (professional practice, culture and psychosocial), teach community service.

Research Interests: Clinical assessment and management of neurologic and geriatric conditions, supporting simulation-based education, pro bono and health promotion care.

Fun Fact: If I weren’t a PT, I would have wanted to be a national park guide!

Role at HSC: Assistant professor with focus on orthopedics, occupational health and  therapeutic exercise, complex patient management and gross anatomy.

Research Interests: Spinal intradiscal pressure responses to posture, clinical anatomical studies and prevention of repetitive strain injuries.

Fun Fact: I am from Mars – Pennsylvania that is!

Mary Tajada

Mary Tejada 2[99]HSC Start Date: April 2022 first in the office of Culture and Experience as a senior executive administrative assistant, now as clinical site coordinator for the Department of Physical Therapy.

Years in Academic Settings: Two, with more than 25 years of administrative professional experience.

Role at HSC: Clinical site coordinator assisting director of clinical education with contracts, management of online system and jack of all trades! She is our party planner, party executer and department decorator. Ball of JOY!

Fun Fact: I met my husband in high school in 1984, and we were high school sweethearts! Still no regrets!

Role at HSC: Assistant professor with focus on care of musculoskeletal conditions; diagnostic imaging; will teach and support gross anatomy, evidence-based practice thread, musculoskeletal curriculum thread, diagnostic imaging.

Research Interests: Utilization of diagnostic ultrasound, dysfunction of the spine and extremities, pain of nerve Research Lab.

Fun Fact: I chose PT school after also being accepted into engineering school. I made the right choice!
