Nana Kofi Kusi-Boadum presents research at Society for Neuroscience conference

Nana Kofi Kusi-Boadum, PhD candidate in the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences, was among the recipients of the 2024 Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience, recognizing scientific merit and excellence in research.

The travel award allowed Kusi Boadum to attend the SfN2024 Conference in Chicago, where he made two poster presentations on his research titled “Insights from Behavioral Models into the Autonomic Modulation of Nicotine’s Effects.”

“It’s exciting to know that an association as prestigious as the Society for Neuroscience recognizes the relevance of your research and your potential as a scientist,” Kusi-Boadum said.

“I am grateful to the sponsors, my PIs, Dr. Michael Forster and Dr. Nathalie Sumien, and to my committee. The conference exposed me to many career paths and opened my eyes to new opportunities in my research.”
