CBTS honors outstanding students at annual awards ceremony

The College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences brought celebration and recognition to life at its Annual Award Ceremony, held April 18 at the Fort Worth Zoo. This signature event honors the remarkable achievements of students, faculty, and staff, featuring special awards for outstanding students as well as honors presented by Student Association for Biomedical Sciences and the CBTS Values Committee.

The evening kicked off with a wild twist—guests had the chance to meet and interact with some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors and even feed the giraffes.

Adding extra spark to the evening were emcees Katherine McBroom and Nana Kofi Kusi-Boadum, both PhD students, who kept the crowd energized and entertained throughout the night.
