The UNT Health Science Center’s Center for Health Policy is pleased to announce a new partnership with UT Southwestern’s Department of Infectious Diseases and the AIDS Education and Training Center. Emerging from this partnership is the continuation of a curriculum series centered around HIV education and training!

The HIV Curriculum Series targets healthcare providers to provide high-quality, evidence-based, comprehensive medical care to patients with HIV/AIDS in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The long-term goals of this series are to increase access to care for HIV patients by educating primary care providers and developing specialists at all levels of healthcare.

This series starts with the basic concepts of treating HIV patients including the diagnosis and management of opportunistic infections and expands to more specialized topics that focus on recent research. The topics include pathogenesis, opportunistic infections, difficult ART management cases, and other medical and psychosocial complications in persons living with HIV. Each session welcomes speakers from the UT Southwestern faculty, UNT Health Science Center faculty, and medical professionals from the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth area.

CE credits will be available through UT Southwestern!
