Exam Review Policy

The purpose of reviewing the exam outside the classroom is to identify patterns of mistakes or subject deficiencies. Things to look for: Are you struggling with 2nd and 3rd order questions, are you changing answers, is there a specific concept you missed multiple times, etc.


Programs currently offering exam reviews:

  • Pharmacy

Exams are available for review:

  • At a time determined by CAP staff
  • For up to 5 business days
  • By appointment only, via the email link

Exam review appointments are:

  • An optional service offered by CAP
  • NOT guaranteed
  • NOT required
  • First-come, first-served
  • Only available using the link provided in the exam review announcement email
  • A maximum of 20 minutes
  • Limited to one 20 minute session per exam
  • Do not schedule multiple exam reviews for the same time slot
  • NOT rescheduled if you miss your appointment
  • NOT made by calling CAP

When reviewing your exam:

  • Bring your student or personal ID card
  • NO cell phones, laptops, or other electronic devices allowed
  • Notebooks, textbooks, and writing utensils are not permitted
  • No talking permitted

Exam reflection sheet:

You will be provided an exam reflection sheet during your appointment.  The exam reflection sheet is intended to help you reflect on why you may have given an incorrect answer on the exam.  The reflection sheets are also made available to assist with the process of aiding students in future understanding.

Cancellations:

To cancel an appointment send an email to CAP@unthsc.edu at least two hours prior to the appointment with the time of your original appointment in the subject line (Exam Review Cancellation 11:30 am). In the body please include the date, time and exam you were scheduled to review.  The appointment will be canceled and you will be able to use the original exam review email to reschedule. If you do not email or call at least 2 hours prior to the appointment, we will be unable to reschedule and you will forfeit your appointment. You will not be able to schedule another appointment to review the exam.
