Suicide Prevention Week
Join the Office of Wellness Services for Suicide Prevention Week September 9-15, 2017! We will be offering resources, trainings, and activities throughout the week in support of this week-long initiative dedicated to increasing awareness of the warning signs of suicide, intervention techniques, and available resources for those in crisis. Check out the schedule below:
Saturday, Sept. 9: Join Team HSC at the Run for Life event hosted by Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County. The run will take place at the Trinity Park Shelter House Pavilion #1. A 1K Fun Run will begin at 8:00am and the 5K Run will start at 8:30am. For more details, click HERE.

Monday, Sept. 11: Stop by MET Lobby from 11:30am-1:30pm to pick up your yellow ribbon, learn about campus/community resources, and take the suicide prevention pledge. For more details, click HERE.
Tuesday, Sept. 12: Join us for Suicide Prevention Training – Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR).
12:05-12:50pm, EAD 506, Students RSVP HERE. Employees RSVP HERE, select Human Resources, Training & Development, Training Enrollment, Search by Course Number. Friday, Sept. 15: Join MIND and Psych Club for a Lunch and Learn with Amy Honeycutt of Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) of Tarrant County. Amy will be discussing suicide prevention and LOSS services. This event will take in MET 109-111 from 12:05-12:50. Lunch will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
