Join the Office of Care and Civility for Suicide Prevention Week September 10-14, 2018! We will be offering resources, trainings, and activities throughout the week in support of this week-long initiative dedicated to increasing awareness of the warning signs of suicide, intervention techniques, and available resources for those in crisis. Check out the schedule below:

Saturday, September 8th: Partner with Team HSC and participate in the Run for Life event hosted by Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant CountyThe run will take place at the Trinity Park Shelter House Pavilion #1. A 1K Fun Run will begin at 8:00am and the 5K Run will start at 8:30am. For more details, click HERE.

Monday, September 10th: Stop by the MET and LIB Lobbies from 11:30am-1:00pm to pick up your yellow ribbon and learn about campus/community resources. For more details, click HERE.

Tuesday, September 11th: Join us for Suicide Prevention Training – Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR). 12:00-1:00pm, EAD 719. RSVP HERE. Light snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Thursday, September 13th: Join us for Suicide Prevention Training – Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR). 12:00-1:00pm, EAD 291. RSVP HERELight snacks will be provided. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Also, the International Association for Suicide Prevention is raising awareness of the risks of suicide to fund suicide prevention activities through the 2018 Cycle Around the Globe Event for the month of September. Take the pledge and make a difference! Learn more HERE.
