Financial Assurance

The Financial Assurance Office is a team of diverse financial professionals who provide insight and guidance for effective budget management, as well as being good stewards of resource allocation and utilization.

The Financial Assurance Office is committed to providing financial oversight services throughout the institution, and maintaining the fiscal integrity in alignment with the strategic plan.

The Financial Assurance Office provides the financial operational activities required to pro-actively manage accounts and investments, along with the associated analysis and reporting. UNTHSC is a complex organization that has a budget of over $300 million allocated over two hundred fund sources with employees totaling over 1,600 FTEs.

• Manages State, investment and endowment accounting and reporting
• Manages financial services relationships
• Provides cash management and investment consulting
• Assists with internal and external audit coordination and responses
• Ensures accounting records of the institution are accurate
• Looks for and provides solutions for discrepancies and inconsistencies in financial data and reporting
• Assists internal customers with financial transaction processing and fund transfers
• Maintains cooperative working relationships with the following:
