Communication Tools in Canvas and Canvas Calendar (Session 11)

Hello Canvas Commanders! Get ready to navigate the course of communication and conquer your scheduling challenges as we unveil the secrets of Canvas Calendar and the communication tools within Canvas. Prepare to wield Canvas Calendar like a time-bending wizard, and let the communication tools be your messengers of academic triumph. Are you ready to conquer chaos and communicate like a pro? 

Objectives:  

• Use the Inbox to communicate to students. 

• Create an announcement in a course. 

• Create an announcement in a group. 

• Review how to leave a text, audio, and/or video comment. 

• Review how to communicate to students in assessments (assignment, discussion, quiz, rubric, SpeedGrader). 

• Review how to communicate to students via the gradebook. 

• Message an individual student via the context card on the People tab. 

• Apply filters to the calendar view. 

• Add an event to a course calendar. 

• Create a scheduler appointment group. 

• Add you Canvas calendar to another calendar.  

Lunch is provided to registered, in-person attendees. Lunch is served at 11:45 am; Session begins at noon and ends a 1:00 pm.
