Canvas Clinic #10: Outcomes
What are Canvas Outcomes?
Outcomes allow the administration and faculty to track mastery in a course. Core standards or program competencies/outcomes are imported into a course that enables the tracking of students’ progress.
Outcomes can be used in various assessment options. Rubrics can incorporate Outcomes that do not have a point value, rather assessed on the competency/outcome. In New Quizzes, test questions can be ‘tagged’ with Outcomes that gauges the success/failure of the question.
Canvas automatically gathers Outcome data and provides student progress in the Learning Mastery grade book. This data can be reported out, identify at-risk students, support teaching improvement, and support the accreditation process.
Lunch is provided to registrants and begins at 11:45!
