In a one-hour training session designed to help teachers create a strong online presence in an online class, educators will learn how to effectively engage and connect with their students in a virtual environment. The session will begin with an overview of the importance of establishing a visible and approachable online persona to foster student trust and participation. Participants will explore key strategies such as creating engaging introductory videos, maintaining an active and interactive presence on discussion boards, and utilizing live sessions to create a sense of community. Practical demonstrations will cover best practices for using multimedia tools, setting clear communication protocols, and providing timely and personalized feedback. The session will also address techniques for balancing professionalism and approachability to maintain a supportive learning atmosphere. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, allowing teachers to share their experiences and seek advice on specific challenges in building their online presence.
