Design Tools Is Now DesignPLUS! 

 Design Tools has upgraded to Design Plus! Design Plus provides users with a streamlined and intuitive experience to create courses with the learner in mind.  

 How do I switch from Design Tools to Design Plus? 

• • As of July 1st, DesignPLUS will be the default option in Canvas courses. If necessary, you can still switch back to Design Tools.  

• Important Note: On October 1st Design Tools will be deactivated and only the new Design Plus will be available.  

How do I upgrade a course shell?  

• We highly recommend that the courses from Fall 2024 and forward are upgraded to the new DesignPlus. For assistance upgrading a course, contact canvas@unthsc.edu.  

How can I learn about the new DesignPlus? 

• The best guide to learn about the new DesignPlus is the DesignPlus User Guide developed by Cidi Labs. We recommend starting with the Introduction module. 

• The DesignPlus User Guide can also be accessed through the DesignPlus toolbar.
