Alexa is a first year Ph.D. student in the SARS program. She has a B.S. in Anthropology from Florida State University focusing in biological anthropology. Her previous research and continued interests are biological sex differentiation, morphometrics, human evolutionary biology, and upper limb morphology with clinical anatomy applications. She is also a hobby archaeologist, having worked in archaeological conservation for two years at the Florida Dept. of State and participated in the paleolithic excavations at La Ferrassie in the south of France.
