ELIGIBILITY
All eleventh and twelfth grade students in Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hood, Parker, Tarrant, Palo Pinto, Somervell, Wise, and Johnson counties are eligible to enter this juried competition.
DIVISIONS
Painting– oil, watercolor, acrylic…
Printmaking
Mixed Media-ex: painting with collage, photography, items glued on….
Three-Dimensional-sculpture, ceramics, jewelry….
Color Graphics-marker, pastels, colored pencils…
Black/White Drawing-ink, pencil, charcoal…
Photography- not computer manipulated (cropping or minor enhancements ok)
Computer Art– computer generated, items manipulated with PhotoShop ( more than slight adjustment)…..
PRIZES
First Place: art supplies- ribbon
Second Place: art supplies -ribbon
Third Place: art supplies- ribbon
Fourth Place and Honorable Mention- ribbon
“Best in Show” award will be given
Student or teacher must be present at awards ceremony to pick up prizes
IMPORTANT DATES
March 30th deliver works to Atrium Gallery ( 1st floor EAD) 3:30-5:30
Parking in Lot 6 ( adjacent to Camp Bowie-entrance on Clifton, 1 blk E of Montgomery St)- use visitor space before 5
Reception for students and Awards Ceremony April, 30th, 2:30p.m. All work must be picked up following the reception on the 30th

SPECIFICATIONS
All work should be clearly identified on the right front corner with student name, school, teacher, title, division, price and phone number (if available for purchase). Each school is responsible for their own tags. Artwork will not be accepted without proper identification and hanging mechanism. Except for 3-D submissions, all pieces must have a hanging mechanism of some kind. Please use Velcro(hook side) on all matted pieces; framed pieces should have a hanging wire. All 2-dimensional work on paper should be matted. Make your students aware that good presentation is important. Judges look for skill level and originality
The cost per entry is $3.00. The maximum entries per student is five. Entry of a work is not a guarantee of acceptance. Checks or cash are accepted. Please make your check out to UNTHSC Foundation. Payment is due when artwork is delivered.
ATRIUM GALLERY POLICIES
We will exercise the utmost care in handling your work. However, UNTHSC cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged work.
By submitting your artwork, you are giving consent for pictures of the works to be taken and possibly used for promotional materials. This includes both print and electronic promotion.
