• There are other web conferencing platforms that can be used. Zoom and Microsoft Teams are the two supported and most commonly used at UNTHSC.

Web Conference Ready Rooms

There are now 20 rooms that are web conference ready, meaning they already have a camera, microphone(s) and speaker(s) designed to be used with web conferencing:

Baily 553 Conference Room (seats 9) 

EAD 314 (seats 12) Coming in 2022! bring your own device. [i.e. computer, pad, etc.]

EAD 406 (seats 28) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 506 (seats 93) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 514 (seats 93) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 524 (seats 93) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 703 (seats 56) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 714 (seats 36) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 719 (seats 36) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

EAD 810 (seats 26) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

RES 326 (seats 25) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

MET 510 (seats 50) is equipped with a computer.

MET 520 (seats 50) is equipped with a computer.

LIB 110 – Mini Auditorium (seats 106) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

LIB 311 – Discovery Room (seats 20) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

LIB 400 – (seats 50) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones.

IREB 350 – (seats 40) is equipped with a computer and ceiling microphones

IREB 475 (seats 11) is not equipped with a computer, you may bring your own laptop or request one from CETS when requesting your room reservation.  If you bring your own computer, it will need to have an HDMI port and an available USB port.

IREB 480 (seats 11) is not equipped with a computer, you may bring your own laptop or request one from CETS when requesting your room reservation.  If you bring your own computer, it will need to have an HDMI port and an available USB port.

IREB 443 (seats 24) is not equipped with a computer, you may bring your own laptop or request one from CETS when requesting your room reservation.  If you bring your own computer, it will need to have an HDMI port and an available USB port.

IREB Web Conferencing Rooms (IREB 475, 480 and 443) – Crestron Mercury

Mercury is a device made by Crestron. It is designed for web conferencing, but can also be used for standard meetings. Mercury has built-in microphone and speaker to allow those in the room to easily hear and speak to those who are connecting remotely.

Mercury has two built in cables to attach to a laptop: USB to connect laptop to the web camera already in the room and HDMI to connect laptop to the wall mounted TV.

Mercury Features:

• Microphone and Speaker w/ visible mute feature
• Bluetooth audio pairs with mobile phones when the camera is not needed
• Built in Air Media
